Come and contribute your ideas to the design of a brand new mobile space for Doncaster!

A creative design workshop, led by Doncaster-based Visual Artist Dan Jones, using a range of visual arts skills to contribute to the development of a mobile micro building.

The mobile space will be able to tour to parks, street, communities and festivals throughout Doncaster and beyond. It will stand out in a crowded high street and provide shelter in a chilly winter park, welcoming people towards it with a sense of intrigue.

This mobile space will be a unique design, visually striking  and versatile, and could host workshops, temporary exhibitions, café or simply a space for community groups to meet.

At the workshop, Dan will give a brief introduction to micro buildings and temporary architecture for those not familiar with the subject or to broaden the range of possibilities of people that are.

The workshop will encourage you to contribute to the look and feel of the mobile space. We will also explore how the space could function creatively in public spaces and how the community will interact with it.

Ideas from the workshop will feed into the design, development of an actual mobile micro building that is being developed with support from Right Up Our Street.

Come along, find out about and play a part in designing a brand new creative resource for our town.
